Throughout this process, one of the main things that continue to assert itself is how close some emotions can be to one another. The varying gradients of emotions allow for an opportunity for them to be viewed through completely original lenses.
Power is defined by a myriad of things: whether it’s the electricity that runs your home, or the ability to perform a task, power’s meaning is vast. The power I’m interested in this moment is the a one in which you have become fully empowered by a cause or goal. When you are being propelled by something indescribably strong.
When we are in our own power, we are more than confident, more than optimistic, more than joyous… we are a completely separate force and one which is, for better or worst, often too strong to derail. Harnessing this power isn’t an easy feat. Its domesticated form is closer to confidence than anything else, and that’s how it is usually interpreted in its control form. Power at its core is uncontrollable and able to do nearly anything.

04-15-19 We Appreciate Power by Grimes, HANA
04-15-19 This song is supremely interesting to me. The “Power” being discussed in this refers to a “fictitious” impending AI force which will enslave the human race. This comes from the neo-philosophical argument related to Roko’s basilisk. Roko’s basilisk is a...
04-14-19 Soy Yo by Bomba Estéreo
04-14-19 Soy Yo is about you living in your truth… you being you. This is one of the most significant powers any individual can learn how to master. Very few of us are born with this ability, so it has to be a skill that can be learned. It takes time, it takes...
04-13-19 Queendom by AURORA
04-13-19 The concept of a “Queendom” is one that I have thought of since I was a child. I always thought that we, as a culture, are a byproduct of “Kingdoms,” so what would everything look like if we were instead products of “Queendoms.” This is a quintessential...
