There’s something about a gothic sounding piano that always strikes a nerve. For me it slowly starts to send those chills, tingling through the spine, until they somehow release through the toes. It’s similar to the anxious feeling one gets when sitting in anticipation, typically a worried anticipation, however not exclusively.

This song has always created a darker image in my mind, rightfully so. Truthfully this was one of the hardest ones to think about and work on all week. I guess there’s a comical balance to that. I had the image developing early on into the week. I didn’t know what it was associated with or how it would continue to develop.

Like the others I’ve produced so far and intend to produce, the physical creation of this was within in 24-hour time period. I spend the amount of time I can afford and feel compelled to…this one I had only a little over an hour’s time. I wanted to connect that sensation of nervousness when trying to achieve balance. Even down to the sensation of putting your feet into a river not knowing the temperature.

There’s energy all around us, how could that not mess with our nerves. Learning how to find personal balance is crucial. Once we’re able to find balance we can learn how to move with the flow of the energy and whatever it may bring, nervousness et al.
