I think first I have to establish that no this is not the Bank of America commercial, though they may have used the song for the promotional purposes, it wasn’t created for that use; however, they did a good enough job that its all I think about now.
RJ-D2 has always stood as one of those avant-garde DJ’s. His music seems like it was made for a different era, sort of like a 50’s style trap. There really is nothing about it that I haven’t thoroughly enjoyed. Every song is immediately a soundtrack to a new me, and always one brimming with confidence and light.
The name is one which is obviously not far from R2-D2 and a play on the robotic nature of his music, skills, and maybe even personal demeanor. I had always wanted to see R2-D2 DJ hence today’s image.
